A drinks cooler

A drinks cooler (1, fig 1) comprises a housing (2) receiving at least a portion of a drinks bottle 40, a cooling means receptacle (29, fig 2) receiving a cooling means (99), and a mounting arrangement (14) for mounting the bottle in the housing above the receptacle. The mounting arrangement comprises a plurality of mounting members 15 located, at least partially, in the receptacle (29) and are spaced apart such that the cooling means is receivable between the mounting members. Each mounting member has a mounting surface 18 for mounting the bottle thereon above the receptacle. The mounting surfaces are spaced apart in the circumferential direction and have radially inner sides 21 spaced apart to provide one or more openings for passing a cooling means through into the receptacle. The cooling means may comprise of ice, water and/or a cartridge containing a refrigerant. The mounting surface may be cruciform shape and have a low thermal conductivity. The drinks cooler may be stacked upon on another. A method of cooling a drink is also disclosed.
