Zusammenfassung:JMZ-6, an aluminosilicate having an SZR framework type and a needle-aggregate morphology is described, together with a calcined product, JMZ-6C, formed from JMZ-6. JMZ-5, an aluminosilicate having an SZR framework type and a sea-urchin type morphology is also described, together with a calcined product, JMZ-5C, formed from JMZ-5. Methods of preparing these zeolites and their metal-containing calcined counterparts are described along with methods of using these zeolites and their metal-containing calcined counterparts in treating exhaust gas. In particular, a method of making the JMZ-6 comprises forming a reaction mixture comprising a source of alumina, a source of silica and a structure directing agent (SDA) comprising tetraethylammonium cations, N',N',N',N',N',N'-hexaethylpentanediammonium cations or quinuclidine, and adding as-made aluminosilicate seed crystals having an LTA type framework to the reaction mixture. Crystals comprising an SZR type framework and the SDA are formed, and molecular sieve crystals comprising JMZ-6 are recovered from the mother liquor. Calcination may then take place to form the calcined product, JMZ-6C.
