Zusammenfassung:	A switching system comprises at least one lower printed circuit assembly (11) having at least one lighting element, e.g. LED (12), at least one upper printed circuit assembly (13) comprising at least one switch (23) to activate the at least one lighting element and an upper screen (15). Each switch is associated with at least one symbol indicating an associated control function and each symbol is only visible when illuminated and not visible when not illuminated. The switches are preferably capacitance touch switches, resistance touch switches or piezo touch switches. The electrodes of each switch may be etched to form the respective symbols. Activation of a switch a first time may cause the symbol to illuminate and subsequent actuation causes the switch control function to activate. The switching system may be provided as part of a wearable device forming part of a vehicle interface system with the wearable device communicating switch commands wirelessly to the vehicle.
