Zusammenfassung: | A vehicle movement controller (10, fig 2) has a processor to receive 501 a signal indicative being in a remote control drive mode; receive 502 a signal indicative of operation of a steering device (e.g. steering wheel 171, fig 2) within the vehicle; and provide 520 an override signal for applying a braking force to slow the vehicle to a stop, the steering action requested by the steering device is permitted whilst the vehicle is slowed. The steering input may be above a torque or angle threshold. The braking may follow a constant deceleration profile, and other controls can also cause override of the remote control. A remote device may be a smart phone or radio unit. The vehicle can have a stability control system (SCS). After the vehicle has stopped the parking brake is applied and the transmission put into park mode. |
