Zusammenfassung:Discloses a method for predicting the effect of heave on offshore well operations performed from a floating offshore structure comprising providing heave motion data 30 for said structure to a processing module 12, running a well operation simulation model 20 on said processing module using heave motion data, calculating a wellbore pressure 24 using said model and comparing 26 said pressure to a pressure margin for the well to determine a risk associated with the operation. The calculated wellbore pressure may be compared with at least one pressure margin for the subsea well to determine a risk associated with the well operation. Updated or real-time wave or weather data may be used to calculate the effects of heave motion on wellbore pressure.
