The liquid chromatography column 128 has an inlet for the mobile phase to enter the liquid chromatography column 128 and an outlet for the mobile phase to exit the liquid chromatography column. A column heater 310 is positioned at the outlet of the liquid chromatography column 128 and in thermal contact with the liquid chromatography column 128 to heat the mobile phase.
