Zusammenfassung:A method to optimise ramp rates in combined cycle power plants comprises predicting a load setpoint for a gas turbine, and predicting a steam ramp setpoint for a steam generator associated with the gas turbine. A position of a bypass valve of the steam generator is determined based on the predicted setpoints. A weighting factor associated with either or both of the setpoints is adjusted based on the determined bypass valve position, in order to decrease an amount of steam flowing through the valve. This allows the combined cycle power plant overall to be operated more efficiently with less steam wastage.
