Zusammenfassung:Bi-directional ratchet control mechanism for a rotary selector of fluid delivery, having a relatively stationary ring 7, (Fig 9, 52), selector 8, (Fig 9, 53) rotatable against a return force provided by springs 9, and drive ring 6, (Fig 9, 54) rotatable to alter fluid channel. The drive ring 6, (Fig 9, 54) connects to selector 8, (Fig 9, 53) through ratchet mechanism 10, (Fig 9, 55). When selector 8, (Fig 9, 53) is rotated, the ratchet engages with and rotates drive ring 6, (Fig 9, 54). On release of selector 8, (Fig 9, 53), spring 9 returns the selector 8, (Fig 9, 53) to the initial default neutral position without rotating drive ring 6, (Fig 9, 54), by disengaging driver ring 6, (Fig 9, 54) from ratchet mechanism 10, (Fig 9, 55). May be used to change the shower head spray pattern, the flow or temperature of water taps.
