Car body of a public transportation vehicle provided with a display holder

A display holder 12 for a public transport vehicle, e.g. metro, comprises a front frame 16 and a rear panel 18 fixed relative to one another. The holder is received in a display opening formed in an internal wall 26 of the vehicle such that the front frame covers the edges of the display opening. A gap is provided between the front frame and the rear panel for the receipt of display material 48, e.g. poster advertisement. The front frame bears against the inner side of the internal wall, and a lower edge of the front frame is provided with a groove 28 which engages with a lower edge of the display opening. A latch 30 may be provided to retain the upper part of the display holder in the display opening, the lower part being retained by the groove 28.
