Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A synthetic floor covering comprising a ventilating support layer 20 and one or more upper layers 32-36. The support layer being plastic and comprising a plurality of studs 22 between which ventilation channels are formed such that even when compressed the channels have a width smaller than the principle dimension of the studs. The plastic is preferably foamed, the studs preferably all have the same shape which is preferably an inverted truncated pyramid. The studs preferably form a sufficiently large surface area in comparison to the channels that the covering may be adhered to the floor. The support layer may further comprise a support 24 which may be a film and/or a non-woven fabric. The upper layer may include a foamed, printing, decorative, clear wear, non-slip and/or protective layer. Also included are claims to a method where the studs are formed by embossing, which may be performed before, after or simultaneously with the optional embossing of the upper layer or the studs may instead be printed. Further included is a production line for following the method comprising an embossing or printing roller.
