Zusammenfassung:	A wheelchair (10) comprises a chassis (12) formed of two spaced-apart side members (30, 32) and a transverse cross-member (34). The transverse cross member (34) connects the side members (30, 32) to form the chassis (12). The transverse cross member (34) is connected to each side member (30, 32) towards the top and towards the front of each side member (30, 32). The front wheels (24R, 24L) connect to the front of each side member (30, 32) and the rear wheels (22R, 22L) connect to the rear of each side member (30, 32) and a leading edge of the seat assembly (14) is connected to the chassis (12) proximate the transverse cross member (34).
