Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to the use of a cytochrome P450 (CYP450) enzyme from Amycolatopsis orientalis DSM 40040 for catalysing the hydroxylation of organic substrates. Also provided is a method for the production of a hydroxylated organic compound comprising reacting the organic compound with the cytochrome P450 enzyme described herein. The compound is preferably celecoxib. The method may include use of ferredoxin and ferredoxin reductase in combination with the CYP450. Also described are kits for carrying out the invention.
