Zusammenfassung:	A calibration apparatus 10 and method for automotive radar. The apparatus comprising, an antenna array 29 including at least one transmitter 30, at least one receiver 40a, 40b and a control circuit connected to the antenna array. The apparatus including at least one calibration target 18a, 18b, comprising at least one frequency selective reflector located at a known position relative to the antenna array. The at least one transmitter transmits radio frequency signals and the frequency selective reflector of the calibration target reflects certain predetermined frequencies that are received by the at least one receiver. The control circuit is arranged to calibrate phase error of antennas within the array. The antenna preferably each have an adjustable phase shifter and the calibration process allows the adjustable phase shifters to be used to correct for a detected error.
