Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A generator 200 driven by an aircraft engine, the generator comprising: a stator 201, having a substantially annular core 202 and plurality of longitudinally extending slots 208 for receiving conductor windings 204a, 206a; a plurality of power channels 204, 206, wherein each channel comprises a set of windings having at least a first phase winding, the first phase comprising a first set of coils comprising a plurality of conductors wound in a lap winding configuration, the first sets having a split phase belt such that the first set comprises at least a first and second coil, the first coil being mechanically shifted with respect to the second coil by a predetermined number of stator slots; and a rotor 210, wherein the rotor comprises a permanent magnet 804a-d adapted to reduce eddy-current losses. The number of slots may be defined by the size of the phase belt, and the first coil may be wound around a first set of slots in a first direction, and the second coil is wound around a second set of slots in a second opposite direction. The slots may be grouped and conductors may occupy a same slot in an overlapping configuration. The rotor magnet may be segmented or laminated extending in a radial or longitudinal direction. The generator may be used for aircraft propulsion.
