Zusammenfassung: | A rodent trap 10 comprises a housing 12 comprising a kill compartment 14 with at least one electric shocking device (16a, 16b, 16c, fig 2B), an entrance tunnel 18 at a first end 20 of the kill compartment, and a door 22 at the other end. The entrance tunnel is of a length (I) and shape (s) so as to prevent an operative accidentally inserting a hand into the kill compartment. The entrance tunnel may comprise a sensor 30, and the trap may comprise a power source, an interface and a printed circuit board (28; 34; 44b, fig 2A). A method of managing rodent control comprises the use of the trap and the steps of identifying a rodent in the trap, determining that an electric shocking device (16) has triggered and confirming that the rodent has not subsequently departed from the trap within a defined time period. |
