Zusammenfassung:	An absorbent composition and a method of making an absorbent composition, comprising copper carbonate and gelatin and/or a thermal decomposition product of gelatin. The composition may comprise additional binders, such as clays or a mixture of clays. The composition may comprise absorbent material in addition to copper carbonate. Further aspects are directed towards the use of absorbent compositions according to the first aspect for the absorption of sulphur, mercury and at least one sulphur containing compound.
