Zusammenfassung:	A method for verifying a situation (11) in a distributed transaction system (20). The situation (11) is detected by a first device (21) in the transaction system (20), and is logged (12) by the first device (21) by means of the transaction system (20). Other devices (22, 23, 24) in the transaction system (20) are requested (13) by the first device (21) to detect (14) specific data. The data is detected (14) by the other devices (22, 23), and the detected data is logged (15) by the other devices (22, 23) by means of the transaction system (20). The situation (11) is confirmed or disproved using the data logged in the transaction system (20). The data to be detected may be image or physical measurement data. The first device may be in a vehicle and the situation may be an accident event, with the other devices being other vehicles and a camera.
