Zusammenfassung:	The system includes a panel having a top portion locatable near a ceiling, preferably mountable to a track for sliding folding movement, the panel having a bottom edge having a bottom drop seal assembly including at least one seal 108 moveable by the assembly between a sealed configuration in which it is extended from the bottom of the panel and contacts a floor in use, and an unsealed configuration in which it is spaced from the floor in use. The assembly includes a damper, preferable gas spring 350 in cylinder 351, to maintain constant force on the floor when in the sealed configuration. The seal may be manually operated, or automatically operated when the partition system is extended by an actuation bar 330. The damper allows multiple panels to provide an acoustic seal against an uneven floor along the length of a partition system. Also claimed is a method of use, and a panel system with means for maintaining a constant force.
