Zusammenfassung:	A leg spreader 10 for a tripod comprising at least two portions 12, 14 selectably moveable with respect to one another along an axis A. The first portion 12 comprises a latch 16 and the second portion 14 comprises an engagement region 18 where the latch is releasably engageable with the engagement region. The latch is moveable by an actuator 20 between an engaged position (figure 1) in which the portions are substantially non-moveable with respect of one another and a disengaged position (figure 2) in which the portions are moveable with respect to one another, the latch is further biased towards the engaged position.
