Fire alarm system and integration

Fire alarm control panel 3 is arranged to interoperate with the addressable security cameras 24 of separate security system 2. The control panel includes display 7 and network hub 6 through which it communicates with plurality of fire detector units 14. The alarm panel further features a concordance of cameras and fire detector units which are located close to each other. The display screen displays images from surveillance cameras included in data from the security system received by communication interface 13. The communication interface may be arranged to send a request, including a time range of operation of the camera, for identification of frames from a camera of the security system and the control panel may be arranged to identify one of the frames to be requested from the camera. In a second aspect, a fire alarm system comprises a control panel, a plurality of detector units, and a plurality of addressable cameras. The control panel includes a communication interface via which it receives data from a separate building management system.
