Zusammenfassung:Operating a machine adapted to transport a load during a work cycle comprises determining 502 a first stationary state of the machine, corresponding to a first segment of the work cycle, and causing 504 sensors to start transmitting first signals, indicating a weight of the load during the first segment. A moving state of the machine is determined 506, corresponding to a second segment of the work cycle, and causing 508 the sensors to terminate transmission of the first signals. A second stationary state of the machine is determined 510, corresponding to a third segment of the work cycle, causing 512 the sensors to start transmission of second signals, indicating a weight of the load during the third segment. An angle of tilt may be determined during the first and third segments, and transmitted if the angle is less than a threshold. The first segment (fig.3 192) may be a loading segment, the second segment (fig.3 190) may be a hauling segment, and the third segment (fig.3 198) may be a dumping segment. The sensors may include wireless sensors.
