Zusammenfassung: | Dye pigment particles suspended in a gas and solvent vapour are introduced 204 into a chamber (106, figure 1) containing an additively manufactured (AM) polymer part 202, (105, figure 1). The powder (102, figure 1) and vapor (104, figure 1) are fed from different reservoirs which are both fluidly coupled to the chamber (106, figure 1). The vapour is preferably made by heating 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanol (HFIP), dimethylformamide (DMF), sulphuric acid, m-cresol, formic acid, trifluoroacetic acid or benzyl alcohol. Pressurised air (103, figure 1) is preferably introduced into the particulate containing reservoir (102, figure 1). The coated part (105, figure 1) is preferably dried and solvent recovered 210 in an oven (108, figure 1). The apparatus is also claimed. Polymer parts 3D printed from polyamide, polyurethane, thermoplastic elastomers, polylactic acid, polyacrylonitrile butadiene styrene, polymethyl methacrylate or polyether imide may be coloured. |
