A motorcycle

A motorcycle (100, figure 1), comprises an electric machine (130, 140, figure 1) associated with at least one wheel (110, 120, figure 1) of the motorcycle 100, wherein said electric machine 130, 140 is operable in a regeneration mode to apply a regenerative braking torque to the at least one wheel 110, 120 according to a regeneration control signal (185, figure 1), imaging means (191, 193, figure 1) arranged to output image data corresponding, in use, to at least a portion of a rider 400 of the motorcycle 100, posture determining means (190, figure 1) arranged to analyse the image data and to determine a posture of a rider 400 of the motorcycle 100 in dependence thereon, and regeneration control means (180, figure 1) arranged to determine the regeneration control signal 185 in dependence on the determined posture of the rider of the motorcycle 100. The regeneration level may also be dependent on a condition of the motorcycle, such as speed or lean angle. Regeneration may be higher when a rider's torso is upright and lower when a rider's torso is parallel with the motorcycle.
