Plasma Torch Assembly

A plasma torch comprising a nozzle assembly through which extends an electrode. The nozzle assembly comprises an upper nozzle assembly and a lower nozzle assembly 30. Both nozzle assemblies comprise an inner nozzle 36 extending within an outer nozzle 32 and a flow divider 34 therebetween. The outer lower nozzle 32 and outer upper nozzle are connected via a threaded joint 33. The flow dividers and inner nozzles are sealingly connected when the threaded joint is engaged. The plasma torch may be part of an assembly comprising: a coolant supply for circulating coolant through the plasma torch; a sensor for sensing pressure or flow rate; and, a flow reducing means. A plasma torch system is also disclosed, comprising a furnace and two portable frames, each supporting a plasma torch manoeuvrable relative to the portable frame, in which the frames are movable to the furnace by a torch actuator.
