Zusammenfassung:	A method of forming a strut 30 includes providing a ring 24 with a threaded section 24T, coupling a mandrel (Figure 4, 40A) to the ring 24, and electroforming a metallic layer 28 over the mandrel (Figure 4, 40A) and ring 24. The strut 30 thus includes an integral monolithic body 32. The mandrel (Figure 4, 40A) used may a sacrificial mandrel and comprise wax or plastic, or a metal mandrel may be used. The strut 30 can be used as an engine pylon in an aircraft (figure 1, 19).
