Zusammenfassung:	A metal lid for closing a pail for paint comprising: a centre panel 16; a multiplicity of crimpable tabs 17a,b surrounding centre panel; an integrally formed breakable feature 19,20,21 linking two of the tabs; where the breakable feature breaks during uncrimping of one tab. Preferably, lid is formed from single sheet of aluminium or tinplate and is 0.2-0.5mm thick. Preferably, breakable feature is a bridge with minimum width of 0.8-1.5mm, defined by notch 20 between tabs and inwardly radial hole 21. Preferably, tab comprises circular 9mm aperture 18 spaced 5mmm from edge of tab to allow removal using tool. Preferably, tab without breakable feature and aperture is in gap between pairs of breakable tabs which are separated circumferentially by 15-20°. Preferably, lid comprises a layer of sealing compound and is crimped to a metal pail. Invention provides tamper evident closure.
