Cover and method of manufacturing the same

The cover has a central portion 11 with an attached peripheral portion 12, the portions 11, 12, being in different planes. Each peripheral portion 12 is folded towards an object 5 to be covered to form a first loop structure 125, with a part of the peripheral portion 12 concealing the first loop 125. The first loop 125 is suitable to receive a fastening element 20. Two adjacent peripheral portions 12 are connected with each other. A second loop 126 may be formed and a free end 123 of the peripheral portion 12 may be aligned with a terminal end of the first loop 125. By concealing the first loop 125, a users fingers may be protected from injury against the fastening element 20. Also provided is a second cover that is suitable to be folded to form a loop structure and has a high frequency processing section, e.g. of thermoplastic material, positioned in use on the loop and away from a terminal end thereof. A method for manufacturing the second cover is provided using high frequency processing on said section.
