Zusammenfassung: | Correspondence tables are obtained which relate a number of Pulse Repetition Intervals (PRI) needed to provide a desired angular separation or angular resolution for a given signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Each table is obtained by applying one of several target detection algorithms to signals received by at least one of the several receivers that comprise the radar system. An SNR is determined based on subsequent signals received by at least one receiver. The tables are then used, together with the determined SNR and desired angular resolution or separation, to select a particular detection algorithm to apply to these signals. This selection may minimise the number of PRI needed to achieve the desired angular resolution or separation, and/or may be based on the algorithms complexities. The duration of the PRI may be set by a user and, if the desired angular resolution or separation is impossible, then the user may be warned. |
