Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A covering element support assembly 1 comprises at least one covering element 2, such as a masonry brick slip, that is connected to at least one building component 3, such as a soffit, lintel or fascia, by means of an attachment mechanism. The attachment mechanism has two different attaching methods for joining the building component 3 and the covering element 2. One may be a non-invasive affixment such as an adhesive 15. The other may be an invasive affixment in the form of mechanical fasteners 5. The mechanical fasteners may be press fitted into the building component and/or covering element, and may pass through aligned holes in the building component and covering element. The fasteners may pass through the adhesive. The covering element may include voids such as recesses or dimples for receiving adhesive, or alternatively the covering element may include projections such as ridges or grooves. A physical key may be provided on the covering element to improve the bond between the adhesive and the building component. The support assembly may include a grid or mesh mechanically couplable to the building component.
