Zusammenfassung:	A vehicle includes a battery 108 and a compartment 114 in an exterior surface 104. The compartment contains a retractable cable 206 to a jumper plug 202 electrically connected to the battery. It may also contain a jumper receptacle (302, Fig 3) connected to the battery by cable 210. When the retractable cable is extended, the jumper plug extends from the compartment to connect to a receptacle of another vehicle. Monitoring means in connection module 116 may determine which vehicles battery has more charge and use that battery to jump-start the other vehicle.
