Zusammenfassung: | Vertical bearing device 10 has a thrust collar 21 that rotates with a vertical rotating shaft member 12. The thrust collar contacts a thrust bearing 23 and a radial journal bearing 25. Casing 24 surrounds the shaft and is formed into a container shape defining with a base plate 22 an oil chamber with an upper and a lower chamber 46, 47. Cooling part 26 is provided integrally on a radially outer side of the casing and has a lubricating oil passage part 51 exposed from the casing. This allows lubricating oil to flow from the upper chamber to the lower chamber, cooling the oil before it is recirculated in the casing. A cover 27 outside the casing defines an airflow space. The cooling part has an air inlet into which cooling air flows, which is positioned within a preset range (fig. 22). The air inlet is positioned between 1/4h above and 5/4h below the upper end of the oil chamber and within 2a of the outer peripheral face of the casing. h is the distance from the upper to the lower end of the oil chamber and a is the shortest distance between the casing and the cover. |
