Zusammenfassung:This invention relates to a layer comprising a redox-active polymer 12 and multiple sections A, B having different charge densities. The difference between the charge densities is preferably established through different layer thicknesses of the sections; and/or by configuring the single layer as a composite comprising high charge density particles dispersed in a matrix comprising or consisting of the redox-active polymer. The single layer may comprise organic materials. The sections may be formed by micro or nanoengineering. The sections may form a grating structure or may be pillar shaped.
