Zusammenfassung:	A system 100 for a vehicle 16 alerts a user that they have left their mobile device 14 inside the vehicle. After receiving indication that a journey has ended, the system receives movement data for the device over a communication network, and if it system determines from this data that the device has been left in the vehicle, it notifies the user. The communication network may be a cellular network such as 3G or 4G. The mobile device may be associated with the vehicle using an app, and the system may determine during a journey that the device is in the vehicle. After the journey has ended, the system may transmit GPS location data to a remote computer system which has also received location data for the mobile device. The system determines that the device has not been removed from the vehicle if the two locations are substantially the same. The user may be notified using the lights 110 or horn of the vehicle or via the key fob.
