Zusammenfassung:	A method of operating an engine assembly 2 comprising an engine 10 and a controller 100 configured to automatically shut down and restart the engine 10, wherein the controller 100 is configured to shut down the engine 10 when a brake pressure of a brake system of a motor vehicle 1 is above a first threshold value and restart the engine 10 when the brake pressure falls below a second threshold value; The method comprises adjusting the second threshold value according to a speed of the vehicle 1. This arrangement is intended to improve the fuel efficiency and reduce the annoyance of automatic start-stop systems and vehicle emissions by preventing frequent switching on and switching off of the engine in operation.
