Zusammenfassung:A method of receiving a message from a second vehicle 101 at a first vehicle 100, indicating a fault in a second vehicle component. The first vehicle then modifies its area of control 205 to include a location of the second vehicle, and to provide a control instruction to the second vehicle. Control instructions sent to the second vehicle may be at least partly based on the modified area of control, or data received by a senor on the first vehicle which may further be based on the distance between the two vehicles. The method may further comprise identifying a stopping location for the second vehicle and providing instructions to navigate there, the second vehicles processor may further be deactivated upon reaching the stopping location. The method may further comprise detecting a fault in the second vehicle, detecting the first vehicle in the second vehicles sensing area 210, transmitting a fault message to the first vehicle, and applying control signals to the second vehicle components based on control instructions provided by the first vehicle. Further to this first vehicle may be selected based on a plurality of detected vehicles within the second vehicles sensing area 210.
