Zusammenfassung: | A network in a vehicle has nodes (e.g. primary/secondary powertrain/steering/brake) connected by various links, see Fig. 1. The invention measures 505 the speed of each link (possibly expressed in milliseconds, see. Fig. 3) and puts it in a table. It calculates the cost of each path between two nodes by adding up the speeds from the table. The fastest link with the lowest cumulative speed is selected for communication between the nodes 530,535,540,545. Speed may be based on data rate and link load and may be measured and updated periodically. In the event of a network node/link failure 515 the new fastest/lowest cost path is determined for the updated network topology. |
