Zusammenfassung: | A vehicle system includes an autonomous mode controller (120 fig.2) and a processor (125 fig.2). The controller is programmed to control a host vehicle in a semi-autonomous mode. The processor is programmed to identify a driver 305, determine whether the driver is authorized to operate the host vehicle in the semi-autonomous mode 315, and disable the semi-autonomous mode if the driver is not authorized to operate the host vehicle in the partially autonomous mode 320. The processor may determine the drivers identity when the driver makes a request to operate the vehicle in the semi-autonomous mode. The driver may be identified using a unique identifier which may be determined by an occupant detection system or from a key fob. The authorisation may be based on data held locally on the vehicle or from a remote server (135 fig.2) accessed via a communication interface (110 fig.2). |
