Zusammenfassung:	The footwear for elevating a user, comprises a basal component 2, and a top component 1. The top component 1 comprises a foot-attachment adaptor 3, 4 and the basal component 2 is arranged to locate on a floor. The basal component 2 is larger in footprint than the top component 1. The adaptor 3, 4 comprises a rigid part 3 and an adjustment part 4. The footwear may be used for elevated working purposes in a commercial or domestic environment. The adjustment part 4 may include a strap 4 and the rigid part 3 may include an anchor 3. The adjustment part 4 may adjust the rigid part 3. The foot adaptor 3, 4 may be reversibly attached to the top component 1 which may be via a screw fitting. The rigid part 3 may be a sprung anchor with the strap 4 passing thereover.
