Control of autonomous vehicles

Control of a vehicle (100) having an autonomous mode of operation uses a system comprising sensors (102) to measure one or more parameters associated with an operator (110) controlling the vehicle in a manual mode (100) to perform a first operation. Processors (106) determine whether measurements taken by the sensors (102) fulfil one or more predetermined criteria and in response determine a second operation for performance by the vehicle (100). The vehicle (100) is then controlled in an autonomous mode to perform the second operation. The system thus enables autonomous control of a vehicle to teach a user of the vehicle.
