Zusammenfassung:A method comprises: receiving content from a content provider, wherein the content is configured for rendering by a media system of a vehicle; determining a noise level within a cabin of the vehicle; in response to determining that the noise level exceeds a threshold, triggering display of closed captioning for the content; and rendering the content on the media system of the vehicle. Deactivating (stopping) closed caption display may be in response to determining the noise level is below one or more of a first threshold comprising the threshold, or a second threshold; a deactivation indication may be provided accordingly. The method may further comprise modifying a sound level for audio content rendering in response to the noise level, the determined noise level being based on an external microphone, a microphone internal to the cabin and/or estimated cabin noise level based on vehicle current speed, engine rotations per minute (RPM), the presence or number of nearby vehicles, vehicle vibration, and/or weather conditions. Information from the environment around the vehicle may also come from LIDAR data, radar data, ultrasound data, or light levels.
