Zusammenfassung: | A control system 500 controls a system having multiple steam flow paths that converge to a combined steam path, for example a steam turbine power plant. The system 500 controls a process variable, for example, the final steam temperature of the steam input into the turbine by controlling one or more control elements, for example temperature control devices in each of the steam flow paths. The control system 500 includes a multivariable controller 502, such as a multi-input/multi-output (MIMO) controller, that produces control signals that control each of a set of control elements, for example, valves in the split steam flow paths. The controller 500 receives inputs in the form of measured or calculated process variables and performs control based on these inputs. When one of the control elements is placed into a manual mode, the controller shifts to controlling only the other control elements. The control may take into account a model of the process. |
