Arthroscopic knot pusher and suture cutter

A surgical knot pusher and suture cutter 100 comprising a handle 101, an elongate holding tube 103, an inner mandrel 109, a tubular cutter 105, a cutter control 111 and a mandrel control 111. The elongate holding tube 103 includes a lateral slot wherein the slot curves such that the proximal end of the slot is 30-90 degrees radially offset from the distal end of the slot. The inner mandrel 109 having a notch and is axially or rotationally movable relative to the holding tube 103 and is configured to capture the suture between the notch of the inner mandrel 109 and holding tube 103. The tubular cutter 105 is configured to be axially movable relative to the holding tube 103 to cut the suture when the tubular cutter 105 is extended distally. The cutter control 111, controls the axial motion of the cutter 105. The mandrel control 111 controls the rotational position of the inner mandrel 109 within the holding tube 103 wherein the mandrel control 111 is biased such that the inner mandrel 109 blocks the lateral slot opening at the distal end of the holding tube 103 until the mandrel control 111 is actuated.
