Method and device for forming a composite pipe

A device for forming a composite pipe, comprising: a first 10 and a second mould 20 enclosed by a vacuum bagging film 40, with a first/second mold surface, a smaller diameter first/second connecting end (12,22 fig.2) and a larger diameter opposite first/second restricting end (13,23 fig.2), the first mould surface is connected to the second mold surface forming a moulding surface (30 fig.2). A method for forming a composite pipe, comprising: providing a tube-shaped base material 60 with a hole (61, fig.3A) including a first and a second open end, moving a first 10 and a second mold 20 from the first and second open ends respectively toward the base material into the hole, connecting a first connecting end (12 fig.2) of the first mold to a second connecting end (22 fig.2) of the second mold forming a molding surface, laying a composite 70 (comprising resin 71 and fibres 72) and a metal 80 on the base material, enclosing the first/second moulds with vacuum bagging film 40 and vacuuming pressing the base material, composite and metal together which are bonded by the resin, removing the vacuum film and separating the moulds.
