Zusammenfassung:	The slide fastener chain 10 comprises two stringer tapes 11, 12, a bottom stop 127 and a slider 15. Each stringer tape 11, 12 has a row of coupling elements 20a, 20b fixed along the inner edge 11a, 12a such that the coupling elements 20a, 20b interdigitate to secure the stringer tapes 11, 12 together. At least one of the stringer tapes 11, 12 has an elongate, extension portion 60a, 60b which extends beyond the bottom stop 127; wherein a width y of the extension portion 60a, 60b is less than a width x of the stringer tape 11, 12 above the bottom stop 127. Also claimed is an article (70, figure 5) including the slide fastener chain 50, along with a method of producing the slide fastener chain 50, and a method of incorporating the slide fastener 50 into the article (70, figure 5) involving folding the extension portion 60a, 60b.
