Zusammenfassung:A surgical guard 101 comprises a cutting edge 103 configured to be driven into a bone. When secured in the bone, the guard 101 forms a barrier to a surgical tool. The guard 101 defines a portion of tissue to be resected on one side of the cutting edge 103, and a portion of tissue to be preserved on the other side. The barrier formed by the guard 101 may be at least partially disposed below the surface. The guard 101 may comprise a plate 105, on which the cutting edge 103 is formed. It may also comprise a handle 113 (Figure 3), which may have a locking device. The handle 113 may be adapted to receive an impact of a hammer. The cutting edge 103 may comprise at least one projection 123 which extends away from the guard 101, and which positions the guard 101 on the bone. It may also comprise at least one notch 125, and a depth stop 116 (Figure 3).
