Zusammenfassung:A composite material comprising: i) one or more polymeric material having a repeat unit of formula -O-Ph-O-Ph-CO-Ph- wherein Ph represents a phenylene moiety (PEEK); and ii) one or more glass fibre; wherein said one or more polymeric material has a melt viscosity (NW) of more than 0.15 kNsm-2, but less than 0.65 kNsm-2, measured according to Example 1; wherein said one or more polymeric material has a Melt Flow Index (MFI) that falls within the range 51% to 51% of the MFI calculated using the equation: log10(MFI) = 1.929 - 2.408(MV) wherein MV is the melt viscosity of said one or more polymeric material measured in kNsm-2 and according to Example 1, and wherein MFI is measured in g/10mins according to Example 2. Also claimed is the same material, limited by use as a tube, back-up ring, seal, bushing or washer instead of by the MFI. And an additional claim is to the material defined by forming a component having (in use) a flow restricting section instead of the MFI limitation. The components made from the materials may be suitable for use in the oil and gas industry.
