Zusammenfassung: | This optical fiber (1A) is provided with: an optical transmitter (10) that includes a core (12) and a cladding (14); a primary resin layer (22); and a secondary resin layer (24). The effective cross-sectional area of the optical transmitter (10) is at least 130 μm2. Transmission loss of the optical transmitter (10) at the 1,550 nm wavelength is no more than 0.165 dB/km. The Young's modulus of the primary resin layer (22) is no more than 0.7 MPa, and the Young's modulus of the secondary resin layer (24) is 600 to 1,500 MPa, inclusive. The difference between the transmission loss observed when the optical fiber (1A) is wound at 80 g tension onto a bobbin on which is wound a metal mesh material having a vertical strand diameter of 50 μm, a horizontal strand diameter of 50 μm, and pitch of 150 μm, and the transmission loss observed in the bundled state, does not exceed 1.0 dB/km. |
