Zusammenfassung:	Apparatus (50) for enabling an electrical conductor (52) to pass through a wall (54) of a pressure vessel (56) comprises an abutment (58) on the electrical conductor (52), a sealing member (60) which extends across the abutment (58) and a tightening means (62) for tightening the abutment (58) on the sealing member (60). The tightening of the abutment (58) on the sealing member (60) causes the sealing member (60) to form a pressure seal which prevents the leakage of fluid between the inside and outside of the vessel (56) in either direction. The sealing member (60) is made of an electrically insulating material whereby the sealing member (60) electrically insulates the abutment (58) from the wall (54) of the pressure vessel (56).
