ID Holder

An ID card holder 10 comprising an elongate body 20 at both ends of which a clip 40 is provided such that, in use, an ID card 100 is insertable against the body and held in place by the clips, the elongate body being of a size and shape to grip the card at discrete points on two opposite sides such that only a portion of the card is obscured by the card holder leaving the remainder of the card unobscured and uncovered to permit swiping of a magnetic strip 110, or reading of a bar code 120, arranged on a surface of the card without the need to remove the card from the holder. The card holder will preferably have a lanyard connection means, which may be a loop, or a magnet and magnetic material. The ID card holder will preferably hold ID cards according to international standard ISO/IEC7810 ID-1, ISO/IEC7810 ID-2 and ISO/IEC7810 ID-3. The clips will preferably have a width in the range of 5mm up to and including 35mm.
