Augmented reality images and method

Augmented reality system comprising a first 210 and a second 210 marker associated with first 220 and second 220 virtual objects which interact. The markers may be printed on a transfer carrier substrate, e.g. a temporary tattoo. The objects may interact based on proximity of the markers to one another, which may be based on the size of the marker. The objects may interact with background objects. The objects may appear to be animated and may be computer generated or pre-recorded. Alternatively, an augmented reality system comprising a first marker on a transfer carrier substrate associated with a virtual object, which is anchored in location to a background object and which may be partly released from its anchorage by an unlocking operation (fig 1)
